TRX core strength!

Where does strength come from? I mean that literally, not figuratively. When you're lifting weights strength does not come from individual extremities, strength starts at the core and extends outward to the extremities being used. Your core is the foundation upon which the rest of your strength comes from. What does this mean to you? It means to be a better athlete, to be stronger, to be leaner, faster and healthier you need a strong core.
I want to tell you about a piece of equipment that had been developed to enable you to strengthen your core while also strengthening the rest of your body. That piece of equipment is the TRX suspension straps. TRX equipment allows us to use our own body as resistance, and even use less than our own bodyweight, making it a much more versatile even then just standard bodyweight exercises.
But what does this mean? The best way to explain that is to give an analogy. Let's say a client comes in looking for training and in incapable of performing a push-up, or even a modified push-up for that matter, with out dropping their hips to the floor and not truly engaging their chest triceps or abs. With the TRX we can change the angle to an angle that is still challenging but allows for proper activation of the chest and triceps while strengthening your core so that eventually, with proper progression, a full push-up can be accomplished.
That's the beauty of the TRX, it allows for simple modifications to exercises, allowing we as trainers to scale the exercise for even the least experiences trainee causing maximum benefits.
One of the biggest concerns of all though is safety for those who may have previous injuries. But luckily the TRX is such a versatile pieces of equipment it's used for rehabilitation by athletic trainers, personal trainers and physical therapists alike. So if you're looking for a great, and safe total body workout see one of the ChrisFit trainers or the FitIn40 videos and try out the TRX!
