Challenge vs. Can't

Personally I value almost everything in life as a challenge. Something to be overcome, that makes you stronger, that makes you who you are. We are faced with them everyday. Big or small long term, short term and the ultimate challenge of life itself.

Challenges good or bad make us who we are. There is always something to learn from every situation. Failure or success you can always learn. This ability to always take away something is what makes you successful, whether or not the challenge defeats you.

In the gym we are all faced with challenges brought upon us by our trainer, coach, other members, or even ourself. These challenges differ slightly from others in life but develop us just the same. The challenges in the gym are more than likely success or fail (for lack of a better term). But the difference in the gym is that there are multiple chances, that you do not always get in life. You can always go back to a challenge and reattempt or try and do better. Again after learning from any other attempts.

This leaves me wondering if then anything is impossible. Maybe success in someways will take time and effort more than others but if we are continually learning and trying over and over is the word "can't" ever relevant. Even if it is relevant in a situation it certainly is not as relevant as much we all throw it around.

Most times we say "can't" before we even try. The word is all to often used especially in the gym. Even burpie punishment does not prevent it. I hear it all day and think, try first, accept it as a challenge as a way to learn, to grow and to get stronger. Try what you "can't" do and modify it until you can! Accept challenges, fail challenges, re- attempt, learn and grow, in the gym and outside of the gym, in general as a person!

Instead of saying I can't before attempting or even failing look at the situation as a challenge, something  to work on.  It applies to everything in life, your numbers, your workout, challenges at home and at work, but change it. Accept the CHALLENGE!

And yes I'm doing all the burpies for even typing "the word"
